Drumfilters

A drum filter basically removes solid particles from a water flow entering the drum.

Compared to other solid removal techniques, the major advantages are its small footprint, ease of use, low maintenance, reliability and its fully autonomous and automatic operation.

Trome designed 5 models: TM1, TM2, TM3, TM4 and TM5. The TM1 is unique because of its compactness with a capacity of 5-7m³/h, while the TM5 can purify at a flow rate of up to 120-140m³/h. Our design maximizes the effective screen mesh area, reducing water consumption and total cost of ownership. As the drum filters are completely made of plastic, they are suitable for saltwater applications. In addition, a plastic drum filter has a much better LCA - Life Cycle Assessment - than metal drums and is therefore better for our environment and society.

The design of the drum filters results in a low need of electrical power (0.18kW - 0.55kW). Connecting to a 1-phase or 3-phase electrical grid is possible depending on the drum filter model. The need for maintenance of the drum filter is reduced to a minimum. Checking and maintenance of the screens can be done easily by using the hinged cover and the service operation mode on the control panel.
